Schedule a term of sessions

Turn a group’s weekly slot into real dated sessions, and find them on the calendar.

For owners & staff · 3 min read

A session is one meeting of a group on one date — the thing you take attendance for. You create a block of them at once from the group’s weekly slot, for however many weeks your term runs.

  1. Open Programs & groups.
  2. On the group’s card in Groups, choose the From date.
  3. Enter the number of Weeks — from 1 to 52. The default is 12.
  4. Select Generate term. One session is created per week on the group’s day and time.

The calendar

  • Calendar shows one week at a time. Use ‹ and › to move between weeks and Today to come back.
  • Switch between the week grid and a list, and filter to a single program with All programs.
  • Each session shows its program, group, instructor, how many people are Expected and its status. Open → takes you straight to its attendance.

Add a one-off session

For an extra class, a make-up session or a trial day that is not part of the weekly pattern:

  1. Open Calendar and select + Create session. (+ New session on the Dashboard goes to the same place.)
  2. Choose the Group, the Date, and the Starts and Ends times.
  3. Optionally pick an Instructor — by default The group’s instructor — a Location, and Notes (optional).
  4. Select Create session. You land on that session’s attendance, ready to mark.
